Need an Amaron 50Ah battery for my Mazda 3 – anyone know a good deal?
So I’ve been nursing my current battery along for way too long – it’s been struggling to start on cooler mornings and the other day the radio reset itself which I know is a bad sign – and I think it’s finally time to bite the bullet and get a new one. I’ve been doing some research and it looks like the Amaron 50Ah is a solid choice for my 2016 Mazda 3, but I’m trying to find the best price without sacrificing quality or getting stuck with a battery that’s been sitting on a shelf for years. I’ve seen prices all over the place online, from under 400 dirhams to over 600, and I’m not really sure what’s reasonable or what I should be looking out for when comparing options. I’m also not sure if I should go for the standard 50Ah or the “Hi-Life” version which claims to have better performance in extreme heat – is that just marketing fluff or does it actually make a meaningful difference in a place like Dubai? Also, does anyone offer mobile fitting these days, or do I need to drag myself to a shop and wait around? I’m working in the Marina area so somewhere nearby would be ideal, but I’m willing to drive a bit for a good deal. Any help or advice from fellow Mazda owners or anyone who’s been through this would be great.

Reasonable price for a genuine 50Ah Amaron with installation and old battery disposal included should sit between 450 and 550 dirhams in the Marina area. Anything significantly below that range is worth questioning in terms of stock age or authenticity.

Mobile fitting is widely available in Dubai now and most services covering Marina can be there within 30 to 45 minutes during working hours. Just confirm they will show you the manufacturing date on the box before opening it, fresh stock from the last two or three months is what you want.

2016 Mazda 3 is a simple swap with no battery coding required so the mobile fitting process is quick, usually under 20 minutes including terminal cleaning. Ask them to check alternator output before they leave just to rule out any charging issue that might shorten the new battery life.
