I’m supervising a mid sized construction site in Sharjah right now and one problem that keeps nagging at me, which sounds minor compared to everything else going on but honestly adds up in cost and hassle, is that our waste bins just don’t survive very long out here, between heavy equipment occasionally clipping them, workers tossing in debris that’s way heavier than what a normal trash can is meant to handle, and the wind sometimes knocking the lighter ones clean over scattering trash across the site, we’ve gone through more bins in the past six months than I’d like to admit, and I’m starting to think we’ve just been buying the wrong type entirely, like maybe standard bins meant for general use just aren’t built for this kind of environment, does anyone know what actually holds up on active construction sites specifically, is it more about base weight and stability against wind, or is it really more about wall thickness and impact resistance against equipment bumps and heavier debris being dropped in, because I feel like we might need something addressing both issues rather than assuming one fix solves everything, while trying to find better options I looked into a few listings for best heavy duty trash cans for Sharjah sites specifically since I wanted something that could realistically handle the abuse construction environments tend to put equipment through, but I’m still not entirely sure what specs actually translate to real durability versus what’s just marketing language describing something as heavy duty without real substance behind it, does anyone have experience with bins that specifically held up well under similar site conditions, and if so was there a particular feature that made the biggest difference, like a wider base for stability or reinforced rims that resist cracking under impact, I really don’t want to keep cycling through replacement after replacement every few months since that’s becoming a bigger recurring cost than it probably should be for something as simple as trash disposal, so if anyone’s dealt with this same frustration on an active site and found something that genuinely lasted, I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you before we place another order that might just end up being the same disappointing pattern all over
